Richmond RRLFC - Game Day Results WE 19.06.2010

Richmond U13s - WE 19.06.2010

With 3 wins on the trot, we faced the top team of our section Otahuhu. We were confident we could compete
and at half time the score was 16-10 to Otahuhu and we were unlucky not be leading.
We lost our Fullback Tane Williams after 10Min's to injury and Lorenzo Reulelu did a fine job at back.
Then we lost JJ David to serious injury and this affected our team focus. Otahuhu ran in some soft tries but we managed
to regain our focus late and Brayden scored the last try. Final score Otahuhu 40 Richmond 20
Our middle of the ruck defence was sound and we scrambled well. The proof was Otahuhu scoring most of their tries out wide.
Our forwards played strongly led by our props AJ Lee-Sang and Mase'ese'e Kali. Captain Brayden Tautuki was a constant
threat as well as Tre-Duece Sio. What the score doesn't show is the committed effort the team (and bangs and bruises) put in.
On a happy note, JJ David is on the mend and is keen to play this weekend....we'll see.

Player of the Day: AJ Lee-Sang
Best Forward: Brayden Tautuki
Best Back: Isaac Ah Kuoi-Atmore
Coaches Award: Kanoa Symons

Under 13s - WE 12.06.2010
Played Glenora Storm and won 44-0. The team have won three in a row now and this is a first. Player of the day was Tane Williams who troubled the Glenora defence every time he got his hands on the ball.
Best forward was Logan Mansson who is in a rich vein of form and ably assisted by a strong forward pack led by vice-captain AJ Lee-Sang. Best back was shared by ever
Improving pivots Hawaiiki Annandale and Isaac Ah Kuoi-Atmore.
Coaches Award went to new recruit Tre Deuce Sio with stats of 21 tackles and 11 hit ups. The whole team is working well (still plenty to work on though), spirits are high and looking forward to our next game.
Hopefully, our captain Brayden Tautuki will be back from injury.....All Day Doggies!

Tough assignment for Under 13's.

05-05-07    Richmond u13s were unable to play the first 2 weeks of games due to a bye and opposition default, and it showed in Saturday's performance.
