RICHMOND ROVERS RUGBY LEAGUE Club Registrar POSITION DESCRIPTION
  
REPORTING TO the Richmond Rovers Rugby League Senior Management Committee

ROLE:
The role of this officer is to supervise and be responsible for the proper registration of all players within the club.
This involves all elements of the registration process, including the conduct of muster days and the proper recording of individual details of each player.  The Registrar is expected to have good planning and organisation skills and should be able to communicate with a wide range of people.
One of the main duties of the Club Registrar involves developing and preparing team lists, which requires a sound understanding of Rugby League rules and regulations.

DUTIES
1. In conjunction with the Club Captain, plan pre-season training and muster days at the commencement of the season.
2. Obtain all relevant particulars of players wishing to play for the club.
3. Obtain photographs for each new player and current players requiring new photographs.
4. Complete documentation for each player as required by the Auckland Rugby League and the Club.
5. Ensure that where required original copies of birth certificates and other proof of age documents are available for each new player.
6. Plan in conjunction with the Club Captain training nights and a roster for registration times.
7. Prepare a list of players for each Senior Team for distribution to the team coaches.
8. Assist players to complete transfer forms as required and authorise the transfer on the club’s behalf closely monitoring the transfers to ensure that any fees/gear owing to the club are paid/returned prior to authorising the transfers.  Player movements must be reported to the Secretary.
9. To ensure that no player is registered before receiving the prescribed subscription fee as approved by the Senior Management Committee.
10. To ensure that registered players are aware of club rules, processes and policies at the time of registration or that they are directed to the Chair or Secretary.
11. To report to the committee on the status of registrations at all times.
12. To ensure that any documentation issued by Auckland Rugby League for circulation to coaches for their players is done in a timely manner through the Secretary.
